There is an extensive network of walking paths in the Frankehöhe nature park, including the new "European water divide" with a length of around a hundred kilometres. It is certified as a "Quality path in walkable Germany" and passes through quiet woods and

meadows, often on narrow paths; the only larger towns it passes through are Colmberg and Schillingsfürst. The total route takes around five days and passes over the mountain ridge that shapes the flow direction of rivers to the North or Black Seas.
